These projects don’t figure into the professional side of my digital media work (although they sometime becomes props), but please contact me with any requests, ideas or potential collaborations! ELIN BANDANA SCARF by ÖNLING
Designed by Katrine Hannibal of önling – deceptively hard! Made up of knit stitches but the color swapping with the i-cord edge proved challenging. I figured it out by watching a bunch of tutorials – but didn’t quite get the hang of it until about 20 rows in.
It is also knitted with a fine yarns so it took forever! But it is actually quite lovely once it was finished.
WRIST WARMERS by ÖNLING
Easy to knit fingerless gloves by önling. A nice pattern and beautiful color – but I found the yarn a little too soft – really does not hold it’s shape too well.

SIMPLE CELL PHONE CASE
This is a basic cellphone case knit in circular needles using Judy’s magic cast on. I love a project with no sewing!
It is a variation from this pattern – alternating seed stitch with stockinette.
BABY GOAT SWEATERS!
Possibly the cutest thing ever! Every spring I try to visit the amazing Sunflower Farm Creamery in Cumberland Maine to hang out with adorable baby goats. This year I made sweaters! They were a bit challenging – as these are the first sweaters I have ever made – and they required some new skills. But they came out pretty well and the goats didn’t complain! The pattern is sold on at the Sunflower Farm farm store.
Sweaters are modeled by tiny siblings Frannie and Farnsworth – who are being held up by Hope Hall the amazing woman who runs the farm with her husband Chris.
SLOUCHY HAT BY SHEEP & STITCH
This is a great hat pattern by Divina at Sheep & Stitch. Her tutorials are super clear and helpful for beginners as well as experienced knitters. The pattern for this hat is extremely easy to follow – and free! – and there is even a detailed 1-hour step-by-step tutorial. Follow Divina @sheepandstitch

SIMPLE MEN’S HAT
This is a simple 3×1 rib free hat pattern from B.Hooked – also comes with a video tutorial. This is the first hat I ever made and first time knitting in the round. I made it for my partner Shaun, but it was not slouchy/long enough for him – but kind of perfect for me (a second longer hat is in the works!).
This is made with the same yarn as the fingerless gloves below. Its a handdyed merino from Luminous Brooklyn, the house brand of Argyle Yarn Shop in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
FINGERLESS GLOVES
Fingerless gloves designed by Norman at Nimble Needles – knit flat and then stitched at the end. This is before I became familiar with circular needles.
Simple – but still wear them all the time!
Very helpful tutorial – really love his instructions.
